DELHI RIDGE AREA

This monument was build by Maharaja Agrasen in the mid-14th century. This place ranks quite high in the wishlist of people looking for some thrill. The Step-well has dried out now but is rumored to have compelled many people to jump in the well and commit suicide. Earlier the well was filled with black water. Nowadays well of baoli found to be empty, that has put a stop to the suicides too. As you go deeper inside the Baoli, the only sound you will hear is of your own footsteps. From all of the haunted places, Baoli claimed to be a residence of evils. There had many different reasons behind this ghostly presence in this exposed haunted place in Delhi, like the hanging of freedom fighters by Englishmen and the brutal murder of three princes. FEROZ SHAH KOTLA FORTRESS
The Feroz Shah Kotla was built by one of the Sultans of delhi, Sultan Feroz Shah Tughlaq to house his vision of a Delhi city called Ferozabad. The Ashokan Pillar which resides within the fortress is perfectly located towards the north of Jama Masjid. The Pillar was first put there by King Ashoka (273 and 236 BC) in the Yamunanagar district, Haryana. This place has local people devotedly lighting incense for the djinns which live here and leave offerings like milk and grain and pen letters to them, every Thursday. Its done in order to please the spirits. That why this is also one of the haunted places in Delhi.
Legend has it that upon refusing to bow down before Adam, Iblis, a djinn was cast out as the devil. Another Folklore says that Laat (pillar) Waale Baba, the head of the Kotla djinns, lives in the Minar-e-Zarreen. He is supposed to grant the wishes and hence people come here every Thursday with letters with wishes and problems written on it. A haunted place can be worshipped also. The fortress lies in ruins and extremely lonely and looks abandoned to complete the image of being haunted.
BHULI BHATIYARI KA MAHAL

The Bhuli Bhatiyari ka mahal or bhuli bhatiyari is located within the dense Southern Ridge of Delhi, is believed to be one of the most haunted places in Delhi and also important in the historical places in Delhi. This 14th-century monument built during the Tughlaq era by ferozeshah Tughlaq was an inn or a hunting lodge for the royal parties. The forest surrounding it in the past was thick and now is not so dense.
Bu-Ali Bhatti was the name of the lady caretaker of this Mahal. It is called the palace of Bhooli Bhatari from the palace of Bu-Ali-Bhatti. Some people say that years ago, the queen had neglected by her king and after that, she spent her life there. He was from the Bhatari family. Then the name comes after it. Her soul still spins there. His whispering makes this place terrible at night.
This structure is claimed to be the most haunted place in Delhi. There are no metal gates to be locked. The only thing that guards this massive structure is a note written at the entrance, which tells people to not to come near this place after sunset.
